This mission was born out of personal pain.
My brother Meddy has lived with a severe mental illness for over 15 years. We have watched him move through terrifying episodes of violence ; sometimes harming himself or our mother.
Each time, he comes back into himself, broken by guilt, aware of what he has done but powerless to stop it when the illness takes over.
